Adi Kapyare Koottamani is a comedy 2015 Malayalam film directed by John Varghese starring Mukesh, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Namitha Pramod, Aju Varghese, Vineeth Mohan, Neeraj Madhav and Bijukuttan. The film is jointly produced by Sandra Thomas and Vijay Babu under the banner of Friday Film House and Carnival Motion Pictures. Shaan Rahman has composed the soundtrack and background score for the film. The film is released on 25th December 2015.

The arrival of a girl shakes up an all-male student hostel in this rib-tickling Malayalam comedy. Bhanuprasad (Dhyan Sreenivasan) is a cash-strapped, none-too-bright student. Naturally, he’s delighted when he meets a young woman named Adhishtalakshmi (Namitha Pramod) in his college canteen and she offers him a huge sum of money. There is, however, a catch. In return, she asks him to sneak her into the boys’ hostel where he lives. But why on earth would she want to do this? That would be telling, suffice it to say that her arrival quickly puts male friendships to the test. First-time director John Varghese’s fast-paced comedy entertainer wrings every ounce of fun from this set-up, with plenty of chaos and confusion, plus cat and mouse chases and hilarious one-liners. The cast includes veteran Malayalam star Mukesh as the hostel’s strict warden and there’s also a key role for Aju Varghese as the college’s most mischievous student.
